Family and Relationship Workshop
As a result of economic, technical and digital developments as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, our family dynamics have been changing rapidly. These changes have been putting pressure on the family’s health and well-being, not to mention a great strain on family relationships.
For the past five years, uncoupling and divorce have been occurring at an alarming rate, the effects of which are crippling child-parent relationships.
Based on our workshop discussions with the participants and our counsellors’ extensive experiences, the following questions have become the focal point of our workshops:
What are the most critical issues which impact a family's well-being?
How does the family conceptualize well-being?
(a) What are the dimensions or components of overall well-being?
Does household well-being differ from the sum of the individual members' well-being?
Which family members are the caretakers in the family unit?
Why do various family members engage in health behaviours (preventative or curative)?
