
Counselling is a uniquely personal experience. It is important that you find a counsellor who is right for you - a person who you can relate to.
Within a safe environment a good counsellor respectfully listens to your story and helps you find your own answers to the questions you bring. A good counsellor establishes a professional relationship of trust and respect with clients.
As a younger person I guided wilderness treks, journeying into the unknown. I learnt to trust there was always another way of dealing with difficulties as they presented - even though solutions might not at first be obvious. My task was to be mindful, listen to and support clients to find their own inner strength to safely complete their journey. In the therapy room my task as a counsellor is much the same, respectfully and gently assisting you through the difficult parts of your life journey.
Each person is a unique individual so I work with you, the person in front of me. I draw on eclectic training in different modalities and life experiences. I work holistically with the mind, body, spirit seeking to support you to find and trust your own inner wisdom as we work together with the counselling and psychotherapy process.
